About Me
An essay about my professional goals, core values, and experiences.

My name is Sadie Salazar. I am completing my undergraduate degree at Clemson University. My major is Language and International health with a focus in Spanish. After graduation, I will attend graduate school to obtain a doctorate in physical therapy (DPT).
I am proud of the skills I have continued to strengthen while furthering my education. I have become a stronger leader, better listener, and more helpful peer. The Language and International Health curriculum has allowed me to gain a wide spread knowledge within public health and health science concepts, information, and courses. My study abroad experience furthered my cultural competency and allowed me to experience beautiful things in various countries. I am approaching my future and future in healthcare with an open minded perspective. As well as approaching it with the idea that there is always room for improvement and growth.
My core values align with both my academic and professional goals. I value respect and adaptability. I also strive to be compassionate and trustworthy. All of these values are important to lead with as a student and a professional in a healthcare setting. As a student, it is key to be respectful and trustworthy. This allows and allowed for a strong foundation when forming relationships with peers and professors. As a healthcare professional, it will be important to be able to adapt to any situation and move with compassion for all patients and coworkers. As I attend graduate school and become a professional, I will keep these values close to me. When I earn my degree and can begin a career in physical therapy, I will continue to polish my core values and attain new ones.
As I continue to develop my professional vision and live it, all of the lessons I have learned while obtaining my undergraduate degree will help me be successful. I came to Clemson University as an eager freshman ready for an amazing four years and was blessed to have received such. My development and broadening of skills pertaining to education, professionality, and life have only grown. My professional vision is shaped by my aspirations and excitement I have for my future. I plan to take everything I have learned so far with me to physical therapy school and become the best therapist I can be.
